Forensics

IMPARTIAL:
"Unable to perceive any promise of personal advantage from espousing either side of a controversy or adopting either of two conflicting opinions."

From "The Devil's Dictionary"
Ambrose Bierce
1842-1914

Whatever the legal circumstances of a dispute may be, the issues will inevitable concern financial loss and compensation. Whether the dispute is resolved by litigation, arbitration, meditation or negotiation, a need will arise at an early stage for the financial arguments to be analysed and evaluated and, as matters proceed, for an economic measure of the loss to be established.

How well the financial circumstances of the matter are assessed and presented may make a significant difference to the outcome of a case.

HOW WE CAN CONTRIBUTE

Our forensic accounting team compromises skilled professionals with considerable depth of experience in the complex world of business and financial dealing. We have dealt with disputes of many descriptions and approach each appointment with a view to presenting a solution. We are skilled at organising information, analysing facts and figures, presenting well structured arguments and producing meaningful presentations.

Our main contribution is to provide the figures and financial arguments which accompany the legal submissions in the litigation.

We will act as independent and impartial consultants and experts, taking our instructions from Solicitors, in order to prepare and present written and oral evidence in civil and criminal litigation, arbitration, mediation and adjudication. We find ourselves acting broadly to the same extent for Plaintiffs and Defendants.

When acting as experts, in accordance with current ethical and professional guidelines, our fees are calculated strictly in accordance with time spent, unless a fixed fee arrangement has been agreed.

Our experience includes the following types of cases:

Contractual and tortious losses
Losses of profits and business interruption claims
Business, share and asset valuations
Corporate, banking and finance disputes
Insurance disputes
Intellectual property disputes, valuations and licensing
Breach of warranties
Fraud and financial irregularities
Matrimonial disputes
Personal injury
Employment disputes
Professional negligence
Security for costs applications
General financial investigations
